San Diego Wedding Hair Stylists
When you find yourself running down the list of wedding vendors and items that you absolutely need, do you find yourself wondering where in the world it will all end. Unless you have done it, most people do not realize how much is involved in pulling off a successful wedding. Besides all of the big details, there are a million little things to think about and take care of. Some of those are related to the bride and are of a more personal nature. Of course, the perfect bridal gown is always a priority. But what about visiting a tanning salon for a number of weeks prior to your wedding in order to obtain that perfect glow that you want for your big day and to complete your look. Then, of course, there is your makeup. You want your skin and complexion to look flawless for your guests, for yourself and for your photographer. And we cannot forget about a hair stylist. We know that you fix your hair everyday, but we also know that you want this to be something very special and more than likely you do not have the skills to pull off what your dream hair would look like. You also want to guard against a bad hair day possibility. So, letting a professional work on you for the biggest day of your life is a very smart thing to do. The San Diego area has many qualified and competent hair stylists. The key is to find the one that fits you and what you want. We have provided you with a guide that should lead you to that person.
Before you can interview anyone you obviously need some candidates to consider. So, with that in mind, there are a few different avenues that you could pursue in order to come up with a list of potential candidates. We suggest that you start by asking your family, friends and coworkers if they presently use a hair stylists that they would recommend or if they have ever hired a stylist that is worth checking into for your wedding needs. Do a Google search for “hair stylists in the San Diego area.” The results that you receive might seem overwhelming but we advise you to bite off a certain number like 50 and see if you can come up with some candidates that you would like to interview. Last but not least, ask your wedding vendors that you have already booked if they have any suggestions. We would be shocked if they did not. Now that you have a list of potential hair stylists, it is time to start conducting some interviews.
When you call each candidate, make sure that they have your wedding date open on their calendar. If they do, ask them when a good time would be to talk about your wedding and the possibility of them being a part of it. When you sit down for an interview, get to know them a bit. Ask them about their background and how long they have been a hair stylist. How many wedding clients have they done? Look at their portfolio? Are they well rounded in the styles that they can do? Ask for references and follow through with checking each one.
What would the total cost of their services be? Does this include a trial run? We recommend doing a trial before you sign any contracts. Find out how a trial would work and how much it would be. Make sure you bring a picture of your dress to each interview and ask each stylist what their initial suggestions are in terms of styles that your hair would support and what would go best with the bridal gown. One last thing, find out if they will have any additional clients on your wedding day and how far apart the two appointments will be. After you have all of this great information, you should be ready to make your choice.
